Privacy policy

This is a static website. The pages are files served from a CDN — there is no application server behind them, no database, and no login. Your keystrokes, your scores and your settings are processed entirely by your own browser and stay on your own device.

We set no cookies. We run no advertising or tracking scripts that follow you between sites.

So that the site remembers your preferences and personal bests between visits, a few values are saved in your browser's localStorage. This is storage that belongs to your browser: it is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and it is not a cookie.

None of it identifies you. You can erase all of it at any time by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings — the site will simply start fresh.

To know roughly how many people visit and which pages they land on, this site may load Cloudflare Web Analytics. It was chosen specifically because it is privacy-preserving: it sets no cookies, writes nothing to your device, and does not fingerprint your browser. It reports aggregate counts — page views, referrers, country, browser and device type — and cannot follow you to other websites or build a profile of you.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives the technical information your browser must send in order to be served a page — including your IP address, the time of the request and your user agent — and processes it to deliver the site and to protect it from abuse. This happens at the network level for every website you visit; we do not have access to those logs as an identifiable record of you, and we do not combine them with anything else.

Fonts are served from this same domain. They are downloaded once when the site is built and shipped with it, so viewing a page makes no request to Google or any other font provider.

This site does not currently display advertising. If that changes, this section will be updated before any ad code goes live, and the following will apply.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices.

This site is suitable for all ages but is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Since there is no account, no form and no upload anywhere on the site, there is no mechanism by which a child could submit personal information to us.

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete on your behalf. The data described above lives on your device and is under your direct control — clearing your browser's site data removes all of it immediately and permanently.
